HacKU (Inter-University Hackathon) Exhibition, Pitching & Closing Ceremony
about this event
After 48 hours of building, HacKU 2026 comes to a close with a public showcase of the ideas, prototypes, and solutions created by student teams from universities across Hong Kong and beyond.
Join us at HKU Main Campus on October 4, 2026 to explore the projects developed during the hackathon, watch teams pitch their innovative solutions to judges and industry partners, and celebrate the achievements of this year's participants at the closing ceremony.
HacKU 2026 brings together around 150 student builders competing across two tracks: FinTech, consisting of real-world challenges across merchant solutions, payments, and related industries. DeepTech, based on challenges spanning AI, algorithms, and emerging technologies.
The exhibition and final pitches are open to anyone interested in technology, entrepreneurship, or the work being created by the next generation of builders. Whether you're an industry professional looking to discover emerging talent, a student interested in seeing what others are building, or simply curious about what can be created in 48 hours, come see HacKU 2026 in action.
